Barely six months after the EX1 was shippingSony is now shipping the EX3! The Sony PMW-EX3 camera has all the same specs as the EX1, but also has genlock and the ability to slave time code for multi-camera shoots.
The EX3 also has an interchangeable lens mount using a 1/2" B4 type adapter. We now have the Fujinon ACM 21 adapter which allows all our 2/3"Lenses to be used.

Sony XDCAM EX1 camera rental $225 per day $ 775 per week. These new cameras are amazing . The Sony PMW-EX1 cameras record 1920x1080 on SxS flash cards, the performance of this camera totally blows away the Panasonic HVX200 with P2 cards for about the same cost. (3) 1/2" CMOS imagers give a more filmic shallower depth of field than the smaller 1/3 CCDs on the HVX200.

Sony XDCAM EX rental pricing will start at $ 225 per day for a camera and built in 14x lens and (1) 8GB SxS card that easily load into any newer PC or MacBook with the PCExpress card slot to copy to Firewire drives. Plugins are ready for Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Premiere, Vegas 8 and other NLEs.
