Since its inception in 1998, HD Cinema™ has been dedicated to providing its clients with premium High Definition gear, oustanding service, and unparalleled industry knowledge for camera rentals and post services. HD Cinema works with individuals and companies within the independent film community who produce a variety of quality digital feature films, documentaries, music videos, and television programs. Our role is to simplify the 4K and HD24p Digital Imaging processes for the creative people we work with, at affordable prices and with attentive service.

ARRI has been a respected name in the film world for decades. Now their newest original cinema camera the ARRI Alexa has arrived. The Alexa has a 3.5K CMOS imager yielding either 2K or 1920x1080 HD images. With ISO 800 sensitivity, and the Dynamic Range of 13.5 stops, the camera currently leads the industry in these categories.

These two new exceptional lenses are the result of a collaboration of ARRI and Fujimon. The ARRI Alexa 18-80mm T2.6 and 45-250mm T2.6 are incredibly versatlie.

The Sony PDW-F800 is the top of the line XDCAM camera, recording at 50 Mbps with 4:2:2 sampling. Shoots and records full 1920x1080 at 24p and 60i, as well as variable frame rates from 1 to 60p at 720p resolution.

The Sony F800 uses 2/3" B4 mount HD lenses. The picture quality is superb, and the post workflow is straightforward and reliable in Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere.

HD Cinema now is providing 3D Stereo production and post services.

In April 2009 HD Cinema provided equipment and consulting for a feature length teen stoner comedy "Sexpot 3D" available at Blockbuster. Produced by The Asylum, a 3D Stereo beamsplitter/mirror rig with two Sony XDCAM EX3 cameras recorded full 10 bit 422 1080/24p to a dual input HDCAM SR vtr. This rig will accomodate RED, SI 2K and other HD digital video cameras.

On set 3D stereo monitoring is real time with a special processor which flips the image from the mirrored camera, then times the other camera for 3D display on 24" 3D LCD monitors both live and with playback from the SR deck.

A dual follow focus system synchronizes the standard Fuji 14x lenses, but the Sony EX3 has an interchangeable lens mount that allows 1/2" and 2/3" B4 lenses to be used as well.

Post production is available using Final Cut Pro with the new Cineform Neo3D editorial workflow. This software allows Display support for 3D monitors, Real Time Convergence adjustment, and individual channel or dual stereo color adjustment.
